Moiz Amjad

After completing his MBA in Finance from the University of the Punjab, where he secured the first position in all departments in 1987, Moiz Amjad began his career in the financial consultancy and banking sector.

Despite being awarded the Quaid-e-Azam scholarship by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for pursuing a doctoral degree anywhere in the world, Amjad chose to forgo the scholarship. Instead, he opted to delve into religious studies while teaching at the Punjab Group of

Colleges from 1988 to 1997. For almost 22 years, he dedicated himself to the field of religion, writing research articles in Urdu. During this time, he also founded and served as the main contributor to www.understanding-islam.com.

Moiz Amjad delivered lectures and conducted workshop sessions and interventions on various topics at several training academies, educational institutions, and companies. These include: NIPA, Staff College, Civil

Services Academy, LUMS, Beaconhouse School System, Lahore College for Women University, Government Women’s Degree College, Lahore Cantt, Gujranwala Institute of Future Technologies (GIFT), Arbisoft (Pvt.)

Limited, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), United Bank Limited (UBL), State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), etc. Around 2006-7, Amjad, wanting to contribute more directly towards the elevation of character and morality, decided to take up a career in working with the teachers and parents in the community—the two institutions, which in his opinion, are the most influential agents in forming the future generations of any society. Hence, in 2009, Amjad informally joined the educational sector. Since then, till 2018, Amjad worked in or with Educational institutions in various positions. From May 2012 till the end of August 2018, he worked with one of Pakistan’s largest private sector Educational institutions—the Punjab Group of Colleges (PGC).

Moiz Amjad conducted workshop sessions on a wide range of topics. Among several others, these topics include:

As a result of his efforts in June 2016 the PGC launched a campaign of establishing a culture based on the four principles of Honesty, Respect, Discipline and Tolerance. In 2018, to make his contributions and efforts more effective, Amjad expanded the scope of his work to include Social & Emotional Learning, Dialogic Organizational Development, and overcoming our personal and collective “Immunity to Change.” The last of these topics being particularly relevant to individuals as well as institutions in successfully meeting the adaptive challenges they face. Moiz Amjad is also a certified facilitator of the “Immunity to Change” program.

Besides continually updating his understanding of the literature written on the topics of Emotional Intelligence, Dialogic OD, and “Immunity to Change,” Amjad completed certifications as an EQ Practitioner and EQ Assessor from “SixSeconds – the Global Emotional Intelligence Network” in 2016, and “Immunity to Change Facilitation” and “Subject-Object Interview (SOI) from “Minds at Work” in 2022 and 2024 respectively. Amjad currently conducts workshops and one-to-one counseling sessions.
